Breakfast Sausage Strata Recipe

Ingredients:
  • 12 oz. HNG Pasture Raised Breakfast Sausage
  • 8 eggs
  • 10 slices bread, cubed (10 cups)
  • 3 c. Milk
  • 2 c. shredded cheddar cheese (8 oz)
  • 2 c. sliced fresh mushroom (8 oz)
  • ½ lb Asparagus (fresh of frozen – thawed and drained)
  • 2 T. butter, melted
  • 2 T. Flour
  • 1 t. dry mustard
  • 2 T. fresh basil or 2 t. dried basil
  • 1 t. salt
Let’s Get Cooking:
  1. Grease 13 x 9” baking pan.
  2. Brown sausage in pan on stove, drain excess grease.
  3. Beat eggs, add all remaining ingredients and mix.
  4. Pour into greased pan, cover and refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Not a fan of mushrooms and/or asparagus? Add any veggies you like such as green onion, red pepper, and broccoli!
