Bass Hyatt is a 5th generation farmer.
He was raised on a subsistence farm purchased by his great grandfather in 1890 in Brasstown, NC. Throughout his life he and his brother have doubled the land owned by their family. Bass worked for the USDA while farming up until his retirement in 1997. He and his wife Sandra raised a family on the farm and continue to work daily with their favorite breed of cattle, angus. They started working with HNG over 12 years ago originally selling yearlings to HNG Farm and have grown with HNG meats ever since.
