BUSINESS OPERATIONS ANALYST

INTRODUCTION
The Business Operations Analyst supports the financial, systems, and data infrastructure of HNG, helping drive informed decision-making and operational efficiency across the organization. This role works cross-functionally with finance and operations to manage pricing, reporting, and system functionality. The position plays a key role in maintaining and improving ERP systems, developing actionable reporting, supporting financial operations, and assisting in the implementation of new tools and technologies, including AI. This role is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and interested in building scalable processes to support a growing business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Pricing & Financial Analysis: Own pricing models and analysis, partnering with leadership and sales to inform pricing decisions and support margin optimization
- ERP & Systems Management: Own ERP structure, data integrity, reporting, and system improvements, partnering with operations to ensure consistent usage and SOP adherence
- Reporting & Business Insights: Develop and maintain reporting tools that provide accurate, actionable insights, supporting decision-making
- AI & Process Innovation: Support implementation of AI-driven tools and automation focused on improving reporting, forecasting, and operational workflows
- Financial Operations Support: Support accounting processes including cattle tracking and bookkeeping, partnering with suppliers to reconcile financial and operational data
DAILY OVERSIGHT AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Maintain and update pricing models, ensuring alignment with costs, margins, and market conditions.
- Analyze financial and operational data to support decision-making across teams.
- Manage ERP system functionality, including troubleshooting, improvements, and user support.
- Identify opportunities to improve ERP workflows and system integrations.
- Build, update, and maintain reports and dashboards for operations, sales, and finance.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data used for reporting and analysis.
- Explore and implement AI tools to streamline reporting, analysis, and operational workflows.
- Track purchased cattle, including costs, inventory flow, and reconciliation with processing data.
- Support accounting processes, including tracking, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Assist with general bookkeeping tasks and financial record accuracy.
- Partner cross-functionally to understand data needs and improve reporting capabilities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and data visibility.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- 5+ years' experience in finance preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate and function effectively as a team member.
- Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while efficiently and effectively managing competing priorities.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Microsoft Excel experience required.
